Dr Stephanie Tan

As a mother and physician, Dr. Tan has experienced healthcare from both sides - as a doctor navigating complex medical systems and as a family member watching loved ones struggle when standard treatments fall short.

With over 20 years spanning clinical research, regulatory affairs, and healthcare innovation, she holds an MBBS, Master of Medicine (by research) and MBA from University of Melbourne, plus executive education from Stanford and Harvard. Her unique career has taken her across clinical sites, CROs, academia, regulatory agencies, and now entrepreneurship.

Dr. Tan is the rare physician who understands the entire drug and device development journey - from laboratory bench to patient bedside. She founded AbbeMed because she realized that breakthrough treatments exist worldwide, but most patients and their doctors simply don't know how to access them.

​

Through her previous work with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, she has built relationships with leading researchers and institutions across continents. Now she uses that network and expertise to help families navigate what she calls "the gap between local limitations and global possibilities."

Dr. Tan is also the author of "IIT Made Easy," a guide for clinicians conducting investigator-initiated trials.

Dr Hoan Tran

As both a surgeon and a caregiver, Dr. Tran has experienced healthcare from perspectives few physicians possess - as the doctor making life-altering decisions and as the person caring for someone facing them. This dual experience drives his unwavering belief that "every individual deserves a fighting chance."

With over 20 years in neurosurgery spanning academic medicine and private practice, he completed his residency at University of New Mexico and fellowship in neuro-oncology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. His career has taken him across major medical centers, research institutions, and private practice in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Tran co-founded AbbeMed because he realized that breakthrough treatments exist worldwide, but healthcare systems are designed for populations, not people. Through two decades in neurosurgery, he has built relationships with leading specialists, research centers, and innovative treatment facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Now he uses that network and clinical expertise to help families navigate what he calls "the gap between institutional limitations and global possibilities." His approach is deeply personal - when facing serious illness, time is precious and hope is everything.

Dr. Tran has personally facilitated access to life-changing treatments for dozens of patients facing terminal diagnoses.
