Physician-led navigation. Informational only—no diagnosis or treatment. Decisions are made with your clinicians.
Why We Exist
We’re physicians and caregivers who’ve had to look beyond standard care for our own families and patients - across borders, specialties, and systems.
Even with clinical training and global networks, it was isolating and overwhelming. The system isn’t built for people who need answers beyond their local hospital.
That’s why we founded AbbeMed: a physician‑led, independent navigation service - evidence first, compassion always.
" We bridge the gap between local limitations and global possibilities."

Step 1: Initial Consultation- AUD $199
You share your situation; we listen and ask clarifying questions.
Duration: 30–45 minutes
Outcome: We determine if we can help and outline next steps.
Step 2: Evidence Review & Global Mapping
We review your medical history, translate your case into evidence, and map global options: clinical trials, second opinions, leading researchers, and specialist centers.
Timeline: Typically 5–10 business days after intake (rush available).
Fee: Custom, based on scope (countries searched, depth of eligibility validation, urgency, complexity). Confirmed before we start.
Step 3: Navigation Plan (tailored deliverables)
You receive a prioritized plan with:
-
Options matched to your case (trials, second opinions, leading researchers, specialist centers)
-
Eligibility criteria explained in plain language (validated scoring, prior treatments, regional standards)
-
Key questions to ask coordinators and specialists
-
Contact details and warm introductions where appropriate
Format: Written plan + follow-up call to discuss next steps.
Step 4: Coordination support (optional)
Hands-on help with pre-screen preparation, logistics, outreach to sites/specialists (with your permission), and follow-ups as needed.
Fee: Quoted separately based on scope and time required.

Questions & Answers
-
Are you a medical practice? No. We provide independent, physician-led navigation for informational purposes only. We don’t diagnose, prescribe, or replace your clinicians. Decisions are made with your care team.
-
How do you charge? AUD 199 for an Initial Consultation (30–45 minutes) to understand your case and goals. After that, fees are custom based on the scope you choose (see next items). We do not accept referral fees or sponsor incentives.
-
Why do fees vary after the call? Scope, depth, urgency, and complexity differ by case:
-
Scope: number of countries/centers searched
-
Depth: how many trials/specialists and how far we validate eligibility
-
Urgency: standard (5–10 business days) vs. rush
-
Complexity: volume/language of records; need for re-analysis.
-
We’ll present 1–2 proposal options with clear deliverables, timelines, and fees. You choose.
-
Do you guarantee I’ll get into a clinical trial? No. Eligibility and enrollment are decided by trial sites based on their protocols. We help you pre-screen accurately, understand criteria, and reach the right contacts—but we can’t control enrollment decisions.
-
What if I’m not eligible for any options right now? We’ll tell you clearly and explain why. We’ll suggest alternatives (e.g., timing for re-evaluation, second opinions, supportive resources) and, if desired, ongoing monitoring for new openings.
-
Do you work internationally? Yes, worldwide mapping and cross-border guidance. Note: cross-border licensing may limit clinical advice; our service is informational and complements your local clinicians.
-
Do you replace my care team? No. We surface evidence-based options and questions to discuss with your clinicians. You and your treating team makes all medical decisions.
-
Will you speak with my doctor or trial sites? With your permission, yes. We can make warm introductions and help you prepare for specialist conversations.
-
What do you need from me? Recent records, imaging/pathology, treatment history, meds/biomarkers (if any), and your primary question.
-
Is this covered by insurance? Typically not. We’re an independent navigation service. We can provide an invoice.
